Electrostatic Precipitators (ESP)

Simultaneously achieve your productivity and emission control ambitions with Electrostatic Precipitators (ESPs) proven best-in-class in terms of efficiency, reliability, total cost of ownership and operating expenses.

Deployed in thousands of plants worldwide, Airnord ESPs are proven to reduce particulate emission close to 0 mg/Nm³ – well below prescribed limits for relevant applications.

Minimum footprints with maximum dust collection

Emission levels near 0 mg/Nm³ are not achieved at the cost of large equipment foot-prints.

Thanks to our decades’ long experience and know-how, Airnord ESPs are remarkably compact. But despite their space-saving dimensions, they deliver market-leading performance with a low total cost of ownership.

Case story

Exceed expectations. And then some

When signing a contract to install ESPs at a major paper mill in China’s Shandong province, we guaranteed particle emissions of less than 10 mg/Nm3. The actual result was – like numerous other Airnord projects – well below 5 mg/Nm3. What’s more, we were able to erect three new ESP chambers while the boiler was still in operation.

Removing dust in non-ferrous processes

Removing dust in non-ferrous, high-temperature processes such as copper, zinc, lead and nickel is challenging. Acidic gases and sticky dust create metallurgical dust build-ups that can negatively impact ESP availability and collection performance, and increase maintenance costs. Airnord ESPs overcome these tough conditions by delivering very high equipment availability, securing the maximum plant uptime expected in today’s business environment.

OPTIMISING ESP PERFORMANCE FOR BAHRAIN STEEL

Although installed more than 20 years ago, our ESPs at a Bahrain Steel plant continues to limit emissions to well below 3 mg/Nm³. Keen to extend this impressive performance, and also secure high productivity, Bahrain Steel decided to install PIACS® units. The benefits were so decisive, it was decided to extend the use of PIACS® to even more ESPs.
